Support with Access to Work Applications
If you’re thinking about applying for the Access to Work grant but haven’t started yet, this is the place for you.
I offer clear, practical guidance to help you navigate the application process with confidence.
Together, we’ll make sure you understand your options and submit the strongest possible application.
How I can help
Pre-application consultation
Unlock the full potential of your Access to Work grant with a personalised consultation designed entirely around you. Together, we’ll explore your unique situation and goals, answering every question you have. I will create a detailed, step-by-step action plan tailored specifically for your Access to Work journey, mapping out exactly what to expect, when, and what you need to do at each stage.
You’ll receive thorough guidance on preparing your application so it’s complete and strong from the start, plus expert advice on how to maximise your grant and access all the support you can get. I’ll help you understand wait times, how to potentially speed up the process, and highlight any critical points you need to watch out for.
By the end of our session, you’ll walk away with a fully personalised Access to Work roadmap, complete with timelines, to-dos, and key things to remember for every step, so you can confidently take control of your journey. Don’t leave your job and up to £69,260 in funding to chance. Take the proactive step today to empower yourself with the knowledge and plan that makes all the difference.
Submitting your Access to Work application
Imagine how reassuring it would be to know that your Access to Work application is submitted with the perfect wording about your disability or condition.
After meeting with you to gather all the necessary information, I will submit the application on your behalf, taking the stress out of the process and ensuring every detail is accurate and complete. Together, we’ll explore the support you need and make sure you’re requesting every resource available to you.
Conversations with your employer
If you’re employed, it’s important to prepare your employer early about their Access to Work responsibilities. They’ll need to be involved in finalising your grant and may have to manage payments before claiming reimbursement.
I know talking about your disability at work can be tough, which is why I’m here to help you explain what’s involved in applying for Access to Work and what it means for them, so they know exactly what to expect and what to do. With their support from the start, we can ensure your Access to Work process goes smoothly and you get the support you need without delays.
Preparing a business plan (Self-employed applicants)
If you’re self-employed and you don’t have a tax return from the previous financial year that shows your work earned more than £6,500 that year (known as the ATW Lower Earnings Limit), you will need a business plan to be eligible for ATW support.
Your business plan will need to meet certain criteria to satisfy ATW.
I will prepare your business plan ahead of your application. It is important to have your business plan ready in advance because after your application is picked up, Access to Work usually allows only a few days for you to send in additional information or documents. Having your business plan ready in advance significantly improves your chances of a smooth and timely application.
