You’ve reached the stage where the assessment is coming, and now it’s feeling real
Maybe you’re worried you won’t explain things clearly enough.
Maybe you know what support you need, but not how to justify it in the language Access to Work expects.
Maybe you’re scared of saying the “wrong” thing and being denied support.
Or maybe you don’t even know what support to ask for. You just know you can’t keep working the way you are.
Wherever you are in the process, one thing feels certain:
You don’t want to walk into your assessment guessing.
This session is for you if:
You’ve applied and now have your assessment booked, and you feel the nerves are setting in.
You don’t have a date yet, but you want to be ready and not panic last minute.
You’re unsure how to describe your needs in a way Access to Work will understand and take seriously.
You’re worried you’ll forget something important and lose access to support.
You want clarity on what support is possible, relevant, realistic, and justified for your role.
This session is not the right fit if:
Your assessment is in the next 24–72 hours (you could try asking to rebook it for a different date!)
You haven’t applied yet (you’ll want the Pre-Application Consultation instead)
You want someone to attend the assessment with you (that’s a separate service)
You’re looking for last-minute emergency wording or scripts
This service is designed for people who want to prepare thoughtfully in advance.
What you’ll get:
By the end of our session, you’ll:
Feel calmer and clearer about what to expect from the assessment.
Know how to describe your needs confidently without accidentally minimising your needs or over-explaining things.
Understand which types of support align with your role, your access needs, and what’s realistic to get from Access to Work.
Have the language, examples, and phrasing that help assessors understand what you need and why.
Walk away knowing exactly what to say, ask, and request instead of hoping you remember everything on the day.
You’ll walk into your assessment prepared instead of panicked and overwhelmed.
Instead of trying to advocate while masking, guessing, or freezing, you’ll feel:
Supported
Clear
Ready
And confident that you’ve covered every detail that matters.

A gentle invitation:
Preparing for an assessment can feel intimidating, especially when a rigid bureaucratic system doesn’t reflect how your brain works.
You don’t have to do that part alone.
If you’d like support that helps you feel grounded, prepared, and confident walking into that conversation, you’re welcome to book.
